SoClean 2 CPAP Cleaner and Sanitizing Machine Review
Are you afraid of germs inhabiting the hose and mask of your CPAP machine, and essentially reducing the effectiveness of your therapy? Here is the solution.
I love using my CPAP machine, said no one ever! Okay, maybe we are stretching it, but it is hard to love the machine. However, not using it when you have sleep apnea not only means causing your entire household discomfort, but it could also be fatal. So, for that reason, all hail the CPAP machine!
How Do You Use The Soclean 2 CPAP Cleaner And Sanitizing Machine?
Cleaning and sanitizing the mask and hoses is no mean feat. This cleaner helps you navigate the otherwise hard-to-reach crevices of your CPAP, to allow you sanitized therapy. A fair warning, though: before using this product check with the manufacturer of your CPAP machine. Some models do not react very well with it.
- Easy set-up
It comes with an easy-to-read manual (no one wants to go through pages of writing when all you want is to get to sleep sooner). It has a handful of parts, and so it only takes a small part of your surface. Set-up time could be anywhere between one and three minutes.
- Automatic Timing
You have two options when setting the timer for clean up. You could either set it to go on automatically at a certain time each day, or you could do a manual set-up. If you opt for the automatic, just set it at the time you are sure to be awake. All you do is pop your mask and hose into the cleaner, and leave them for the fixed period. Once the timer has run, leave the mask in there for an additional two hours in which time it will have finished cleaning.
- Efficient and Easy to Use
The machine is simple in its make and operates quite simply. The selling point is especially the fact that you do not need to disassemble your CPAP machine t clean the parts. You just put them in the cleaner as they are.
The cleaner indicates when the machine is done sanitizing by displaying an orange color. It continues cleaning for another two hours in which time it displays green when done. During this time, you d not have to stand by and wait for t to clean. It switches itself off automatically.
Cons
- It still leaves a musty smell on your hose. The good news is that the smell is not pronounced and you can still sleep through it. What you can do to minimize this smell is leave it in the cleaner for 2 hours after the initial runtime.
- It is a tad noisy when it runs, but be comforted by the fact that it only runs for a 12 minutes max.
What Do We Think?
SoClean does not replace water and soap. Occasionally, take your hoses and masks through a rigorous cleaning to get rid of any germs that could cause allergens. From the reviews, some customers have said that their sinuses no longer flare and that they have better respiratory responses after using this machine. So, the consensus is that it works just fine.
