Garmin Vivofit 2 Review
Out of the 4 bands that I tested Garmin almost gave me everything I was looking for to find out what sleep I was missing and how to improve it. As you will see from the images on the right I tested the Garmin Vivofit with the Fitbit flex. Both readings were just about the same.
What I liked about the Vivofit was you were able to get a step count during the day. Gives you an idea of your progress on shooting for the 10,000 steps a day goal. Vivofit also had a date calendar and time which you could read day or night.
Another feature was the heart rate monitor which if I was sitting inactive for too long would give me a reminder with a beep that I needed to be more active.
According to the readings which I also had the same readings on my other sleep tracker, about the only time I woke up was to go to the restroom.
Garmin’s band I like because of the twist feature that keeps the band from falling off your wrist. Fitbit flex did not have this feature.
Another feature was the battery. It only needs to be replaced once a year. Fitbit flex about every 3 or 4 days and it needs a charge.
As for the tracking of the sleep , I like the Garmin because it gave me number times and exact times that I was routinely getting up. It also gave me readings for how long I slept for deep sleep, light sleep and how long i was awake.
As far as price , both sleep trackers were about the same price range from $70- $90
The one feature that the Garmin did not have was a wake-up timer that vibrates when it’s time to wake up.
